From 17 June to 13 July 2025, the Omba Gallery will host Save My Culture, Save My Wildlife, a joint exhibition by Jeremiah Haihambo and Tuhafeni Nghiwilepo. The official opening will take place on 19 June 2025. The exhibition features paintings, lino printmaking (acrylics), batik, and hand-painted caps, exploring the deep connection between culture, wildlife, and identity.
Save My Culture, Save My Wildlife is an artistic call to protect Namibia’s cultural and natural heritage. Through their work, the artists reflect on the relationship between people, tradition, and the natural world. Their art reminds us that both culture and wildlife are vital parts of who we are.
The exhibition also looks at how modern life and outside influences threaten ancestral traditions and endangered species such as rhinos and pangolins. Jeremia and Tuhafeni urge viewers to recognise what is at risk and take action to preserve it.
Visit the Omba Gallery at the Namibia Craft Centre to experience this meaningful exhibition, celebrate local artistry, and stand in support of preserving Namibia’s culture and wildlife for generations to come.
