Anin is a Nama word which in English translates to many birds. The Nama people are a member of the Khoikhoi people of Namibia, predominantly live in Southern Namibia. Heidi von Hase established Anin Embroidery in 1987 by initially supplying materials and providing creative direction to local women in the area. The motifs chosen mostly depicted the many birds of Anin itself and familiar scenes from village life in Hoachanas – set against a backdrop of makeshift houses and dusty yards.
Anin Linen offers hand embroidered bed linen, table linen and home décor products for hospitality and private clients.
Since 1987 Anin has been uplifting the community of Hoachanas through their hand embroidery skills. Unlike other hospitality suppliers, we can do more than just supply, design, sample and manufacture to meet your specifications.
